2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
2 Timothy 2:15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
As we devote ourselves to the study of God’s word, we learn to discern the truth. We will know when a prophetic word is from God, and when it is for us specifically. As mature believers, we must learn to hear the rightly divided word of God, and allow it to prepare us inside and out! When bumps in the road come along, they won’t stop us, they simply make us stronger! Stay in the Word of God!
